Notes:
Plant type: Perennial ornamental grass
Height x width: 1 to 1.5 feet tall and 2 feet wide
Growth habit: Densely mounded clumps; the grass “lies down” to one side
Foliage: Flat, thin leaf blades, 8 to 12 inches long and about 3/8 inch wide, bright yellow with thin green lines, branching off of short stems
Flowers: Not showy; yellowish-green panicles nestled in amongst the foliage
Culture: Full sun or part shade and fertile, moist, well-drained soil preferred.
Uses: Borders, shade gardens, naturalized areas, water gardens, containers. Variegated foliage really brightens up shade gardens – this is one of the best uses for this plant.
Propagation: Division (seed for straight species only) PPA winner 2009
