Height x width: 1 to 1.5 feet tall and wide
Growth habit: Upright mound
Foliage: Alternate, medium green, to 1 inch, oblong to oblanceolate.
Flowers: Single one inch, white, lavender or pale blue daisy-like flowers with a yellow center disk. Blooms non-stop from July until frost. Kalimeris is both closely related to and similar in appearance to Boltonia and Aster.
Culture: Best in full to part sun with medium moisture. Low maintenance. Tolerates both moist and dry conditions. Performs well in hot and humid summers. Foliage may be pinched back in early summer to stimulate new growth. Shear stems after flowering to encourage a possible fall re-bloom. Plants may self-seed in optimum growing conditions
Pests and problems: None serious. Watch for root rot in poorly drained soils

Cultivars: 'Daisy Mae' has white flowers on 1.5 foot tall plants.
K. yomena ‘Aurea’ - This kalimeris cultivar is an upright perennial with a slowly creeping habit. Features cut-leaf, green foliage with golden margins and flowers with pale lavender rays and yellow center disks. Blooms later than the above species (mid-August).
